+998 71 619 23 33In the division of the gold recovery plant of the Chadak mining administration of AMMC, work is actively continuing on the reconstruction of Tailings storage facility No. 2 as part of the fifth stage of a large-scale project.
According to the information of the leading engineer for mining and capital construction of the capital construction department Ulugbek Tashaliyev, construction and installation began in December 2024. The contractor is the “Olmalikmetallurgqurilish” trust.
The implementation of the project, the customer of which is the UKS, also involves 10 units of specialized equipment from the technological and automobile transport departments.
According to the head of the trust section Khislat Abdukhamidov, as part of the reconstruction, it is planned to build a dam from 227.33 thousand cubic meters of local soil. To date, 129 thousand cubic meters of earthworks have been completed, and the strengthening of the load-bearing part of the dam is underway: an additional 70 thousand cubic meters of soil have been laid. The embankment level has been raised from 912.75 to 915.75 meters.
Construction and installation work continues in parallel with the operation of the facility: dismantling and replacing metal pipes with a diameter of 219 mm. At the moment, 2,078 linear meters of pipes have been dismantled, and 2,000 linear meters of new pipes have already been installed at the updated height.
As of today, the total volume of excavation work is 59% complete.
For reference: the total area of the dam is 50 hectares, of which 28 hectares are useful. The tailings storage facility is designed to receive up to 2,400 tons of man-made waste per day. The total budget of the project is 19.9 billion UZS. The expansion of the facility will ensure stable storage of a larger volume of waste, which is critical for the stable operation of the enterprise.
