In honor of World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the AMMC zinc smelter held a competition for the best occupational safety representative under the theme “Let’s Create a Healthy Psychosocial Working Environment.”

The event was aimed at improving the workers’ occupational safety culture, compliance with safety requirements, and developing their professional skills.

Participants demonstrated their knowledge and skills in two stages. In the practical part, they demonstrated how effectively they apply occupational safety and health regulations in their daily work. The theoretical stage included testing on relevant standards, issues of using personal protective equipment, and providing first aid.

The jury’s assessment revealed that Sarvar Toirov, a representative of the power shop, was named the “Best Occupational Safety Representative.” Second place went to Abror Rakhimiy, a representative of the specialized repair section, and third place went to Bekzod Ergashev, representing the Welz shop.

The winners were awarded diplomas of their respective degrees and commemorative gifts. Conducting such competitions plays an important role in preventing industrial injuries and promotes greater responsibility among young professionals.
