Experts from the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development at AMMC

In recent years, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) has been actively expanding its network of international cooperation, establishing productive partnerships with major companies from various countries. In 2025 alone, representatives from the United Kingdom, Mongolia, China, Germany, Finland, Korea, Hungary, Sweden, and the Czech Republic visited the complex to familiarize themselves with its production processes.

Recently, a delegation of experts from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) paid a visit to AMMC. 

During the meeting between the representatives, AMMC specialists provided detailed information about the modernization initiatives, projects aimed at increasing production capacity, and ongoing transformation processes. The emphasized that transparency and efficiency remain among the complex’s top priorities.

The OECD representatives highlighted the importance of adopting international practices in mineral resource pricing, aligning with global tax standards, implementing transparent reporting systems, and fostering a healthy competitive environment.

As part of their visit, the delegation toured the “Kalmakyr” and “Yoshlik I” mines to observe the ore extraction processes firsthand.

At the conclusion of meeting, both sides agreed to expand cooperation in areas such as environmental protection, tax policy, and transport logistics, as well as to develop joint initiatives and continue expert consultations on practical projects.
