In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 30, 2018 No. PP-3954 "On measures to reconstruct and stabilize the main production capacities of Almalyk MMC JSC", as well as on the basis of the Roadmap of the investment project of the same name, modernization work is underway at the copper processing complex.

In particular, the company's team is faced with the task of replacing 23 pump-hydrocyclone units involved in the ore crushing stage.

On January 8, 2025, the installation of automated pump-hydrocyclone unit No. 4 manufactured by Weir Minerals was completed and put into operation in the crushing and flotation shop.

The new unit is located at mills No. 3 of process section No. 1 of the crushing and flotation shop. Previously, three similar pump-hydrocyclone units by Weir Minerals were installed and put into operation at mills No. 24 (23A), No. 26 (25) and No. 2A (2) in sections VIII, IX and I of the same shop.

According to the shift foreman of the crushing and flotation shop, Yorkinzhon Usmonov, these units have a number of significant advantages. Thanks to the automation of the crushed product classification process, a 10% improvement in the size of the -0.074 mm class, which enters the flotation process, is achieved. The circulation of the product in the technological process is also reduced, which has a positive effect on productivity. As a result, ensuring the supply of the product with the specified parameters allows us to consistently achieve the planned indicators for the extraction of metals from the ore.

To prevent deviations from the planned indicators during dismantling and installation work, the replacement of pump-hydrocyclone units is carried out sequentially on each line of the grinding and flotation shop and crushing and beneficiation complex No. 2, according to the approved repair schedules.

At the moment, 4 sets of pump-hydrocyclone units are installed at the complex. During the year, it is planned to install another 19 sets of these devices.
