As part of the month-long “30 Striking Days” program aimed at prevention of emergency situations, preventive measures and exercises are being conducted on an ongoing basis in the Complex structural divisions.

On May 21 of this year, special tactical training exercises were held on the territory of railway workshop No. 4 of the Industrial Railway Transport Department (IRT) on the topic: “Elimination of an emergency situation that arose as a result of a fire caused by careless handling at an open warehouse for storage of wooden railway sleepers”. During the exercises, the readiness of rescue units for operational actions was tested.

The event was attended by A. Sobirjanov, Deputy Chief of the Paramilitary Fire and Rescue Unit No. 51 of the Department for the Prevention of Emergency Situations at AMMC Facilities; K. Dushanov, Commander of the Civil Defense Detachment; M. Madmarov, Deputy Head of the Industrial Rail Transport Department for the Safety of Inventory; Sh. Nomozov, Leading Industrial Safety Engineer of the Industrial Rail Transport Department; and the enterprise volunteer fire brigades.

According to the exercise scenario, a fire broke out in an open warehouse for storage of wooden railway sleepers as a result of careless handling. The fire was quickly contained and extinguished, the victims were evacuated from the scene and given first aid.

Responsible specialists also reminded participants of emergency procedures and fire safety requirements, emphasizing the need to strictly adhere to personal safety rules under all conditions.

Following the tactical and special exercises, the participants’ actions were rated as “good”.
