Today in our country much attention is paid to the wide introduction of renewable energy sources and stimulation of active utilization of these resources by the population. In particular, a number of amenities, tax incentives for the purchase and installation of solar panels and water heaters are being created for Uzbekistan citizens. It is worth noting that the use of solar panels does not release harmful gases into the environment, and electricity is obtained for free. Since these units are installed on the roofs of buildings and free ground, there is no noise during operation. Modern devices allow to provide houses with uninterrupted electricity. In addition, the solar panels will start generating revenue from the moment they are installed. Also, these units are very easy to install and do not require years of maintenance. Since solar panels are installed after being inspected by special testing laboratories, they operate an average of 20-25 years. Another advantage is that the homeowner can also make a profit by selling the excess energy to the power company. In this case, no tax payments are made from individuals.
Uzbekistan is known as a sunny land and the number of sunny days in our country is more than 300. And so we need to effectively utilize this gift of nature in the production of renewable energy. The development of green energy serves to reduce the huge load on the country’s energy system. Our country is gradually implementing promising projects in the field of energy saving, improving sustainable energy supply through the development of renewable energy sources. In accordance with the priority tasks defined in the statement of the head of our state dated June 10, 2022 No. 48 “On measures for wide introduction of renewable energy sources in the branches of economy and objects of social sphere”, as well as with the resolution dated February 16, 2023 No. 57 “On measures for acceleration of introduction of renewable energy sources and energy-saving technologies in 2023”, “Almalyk MMC” JSC currently implements a number of works on wide introduction of renewable energy sources in its production facilities. In particular, solar photovoltaic stations with a total capacity of 750 kW were commissioned in 2022 to provide electricity to AMMC’s facilities. During 2023, these devices produced 638 thousand kWh of electricity. In 2023, the construction of solar photovoltaic stations with a total capacity of 9,041 kW was defined, which provided for the installation of solar panels at more than 30 facilities of the Complex (8,062 kW at production units, 979 kW at social facilities). Up to this day photovoltaic stations of the plant have produced more than 488 thousand kWh of electricity, savings of 488 million UZ Soums have been achieved. Work will continue in this direction.
Also on June 10 of the current year on the initiative of the management of AMMC together with the of energy manager services and chief power engineer and the Union of Youth of the Complex an exhibition titled “Renewable Energy Sources” was organized by the management.
Employees of the Complex and residents of Almalyk were told about alternative energy sources and presented modern equipment - solar photovoltaic stations and solar collectors.
During the event, representatives of the world’s leading companies in our country informed the participants about the efficiency of solar energy, devices, their maintenance, prices, as well as preferences provided by the state.
