The AMMC was recognized in the national "Gender Equality Activist" competition.

As is known, the national contest "Gender Equality Activist" is being held at the initiative of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Republican Commission on Enhancing the Role of Women in Society, Gender Equality and Family Issues, and the Committee on Family and Women.

Today, at the "Metallurg" Palace of Culture, an award ceremony was held for the winners of the Tashkent regional stage of the competition under the slogan "Women's Enlightenment - a Solid Foundation for Society's Development!" This competition is conducted to shape policies aimed at ensuring gender equality between organizations and the public, draw wide public attention to the work being carried out in this direction, encourage active entities contributing to the development of the field, and promote their best practices.

The event was attended by the governor of the Tashkent region Zoyir Mirzaev, the deputy chairman of the board of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex for personnel and social issues Sa'di Shermatov, and other industry officials.

Speaking at the beginning of the event, the governor of Tashkent region, Zoyir Mirzaev, emphasized that under the leadership of our country's president, comprehensive and consistent reforms are being implemented to support women in all aspects, increase their socio-political activity, and ensure their rights and interests. He stated that such competitions are a vivid expression of noble initiatives aimed at enhancing the role, potential, and engagement of women in society.

During the event, exhibitions featuring handicrafts and a showcase of national costumes prepared by the "Golden Hands" talented women's club operating at the plant were presented.

Notably, in the regional stage of the competition, JSC "Almalyk MMC" was declared the winner in the nomination "Most active state body at the national level in ensuring gender equality" and earned a place in the national stage.

Additionally, an award ceremony was held today for the winners of the Tashkent regional stage of the national competitions "Woman of the Year" and "Most Exemplary Mahalla Women's Activist."
