Uzbek-German bilateral cooperation has gained new impetus in recent years. This is evidenced by the intensive political dialog between the leaders of the two countries. Support of initiatives in the field of training of qualified specialists is an important direction in the development of multifaceted Uzbek-German cooperation.
On November 16 of this year, a conference was held at the University of Geological Sciences to inaugurate the representation of the Federal State Universities of Saxony.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Mining and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan Azam Kadirkhodjaev, Director of Innovative Development Agency Olimjon Tuychiev, Ambassador of Germany to Uzbekistan Dr. Tilo Klinner, Minister of Science, Culture and Tourism of the Federal State of Saxony Sebastian Gemkow, Rector of the University of Geological Sciences Maksud Isakov, Rector of Freiberg Mining Academy Professor Klaus-Dieter Barbnecht and other experts, as well as media representatives and journalists.
The main goals and directions of the office are mutual cooperation in training of specialists in the field of mining and geology, mechanical engineering, materials science, geo-ecology, economics and business management, expansion of student exchange, improvement of professional training of young people planning to study in Saxony, organization of preparatory courses in Uzbekistan.
It should be noted that S. Turaboev, Head of Training and Retraining Department of the Training Center of JSC “Almalyk MMC”, and U.Igamberdiev, Leading Engineer of the Training Center also participated in this event.
During the event, representatives of Germany noted the work carried out in JSC “Almalyk MMC” on the integration of science, education and production.
For reference, AMMC, Freiberg Mining Academy and a number of German companies have established a cooperation for education and training.
