The big event was held at the Metallurg Palace of Culture dedicated to the most tender, bright and beautiful holiday – International Women's Day.

The Chairman of Board of JSC “Almalyk MMC” Abdulla Khursanov, who opened the festive concert, expressed sincere congratulations on the day of beauty and love, warm wishes, as well as words of gratitude for the warmth, natural wisdom, professionalism and dedication to work.

Also during the event, 56 workers of the plant – production leaders – were awarded the certificates of honor and valuable gifts.

The concert program prepared by amateur artistic groups of the Palace of Culture "Metallurg", as well as songs by the honored artists of Uzbekistan Abdulla Shomagrupov and Shukhrat Vokhidov gave the guests of the event a real holiday of spring and tenderness.

Special Tactical Exercises at Scientific and Production Association for the Production of Rare Metals and Hard Alloys

Recently, at the Scientific and Production Association for the Production of Rare Metals and Hard Alloys, special tactical exercises were held on the topic “Organization and conduct of emergency rescue and other urgent work in the event of accidents at facilities where there are risks of explosions and fire.”

At the event, in coordination with the Chirchik Emergency Situations Department, appropriate plans for conducting exercises were developed.

According to this plan, the metal structure of the roof of the electrolysis hall in the hydrogen-oxygen section had fallen on the electrolyzer due to a simulated earthquake. As a result of equipment damage, an employee working near it was injured. In addition, during the earthquake, a short circuit occurred as a result of electrical wires touching each other, which led to a fire in the transformer.

The tactical exercise began from the moment this emergency was communicated to the responsible leaders and emergency response teams.

Responsible heads of SPA, the representatives of civil structures, 1 fire truck, 6 personnel headed by the Head of the operational unit of the Chirchik Emergency Situations Department, 1 special vehicle and 3 employees of the Chirchik town gas department arrived at the scene of the incident. The Incident Command Center was also established and an operational meeting was held.

The “Danger Zone” signs were installed at the scene of the accident, a public order group from the civil structure surrounded the scene and strengthened control over the procedure for entering and exiting the territory.

The reconnaissance team examined the scene and informed the chief of ICC about the situation. The electrical repair team disconnected the power supply to the building. The evacuation team evacuated personnel to a safe area. The rescue team carried the injured worker to safety. The victim was provided with first aid by an ambulance crew.

The fire brigade extinguished the fire that broke out in the transformer. The emergency technical team eliminated the accident and started up the damaged electrolyzer and transformer. The conditional accident was eliminated.

Based on the results of special tactical exercises, an assessment was made of readiness to carry out assigned tasks.
