The event was held in the format of open dialogue. Participants discussed issues of countering religious extremism, the influence of foreign religious movements, and measures to combat corruption.
According to G. Sabrieva, the Compliance Department at Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex is consistently implementing effective anti-corruption measures. In particular, in 2025, as part of the efforts to eliminate conflicts of interest, the list of state organizations allowing exceptions to the "Restrictions on Joint Employment of Relatives" rules was approved. For the first time, employees of the mining and metallurgical enterprises were included in this list. Furthermore, in accordance with the Presidential Resolution dated 12 January 2022, "On the Introduction of a Rating System for Assessing the Effectiveness of Anti-Corruption Activities," the Complex scored 89 points by the end of 2025. The anti-corruption system implemented at AMMC since May 2021 passed an external audit and received the international ISO 37001:2016 certificate, as well as the national O'zDSt ISO 37001:2019 standard.
In January 2026, in accordance with the Resolution No. PP-240, all the functions and tasks set forth in the Charter of JSC “Almalyk MMC” were assessed for potential for corruption. During 2025, the Compliance Department conducted 19 internal audits, resulting in the termination of employment contracts with two employees and disciplinary action against nine employees.
During the reporting period, the Complex compensated 1.121 billion UZS of damages – the perpetrators voluntarily compensated for the damages. Furthermore, the misuse of funds totaling 1.180 billion UZS was prevented, and all funds were returned to the plant's balance sheet.
During the event, the types of corruption: home, business, and political/elite, and their destructive impact on society were explained in detail. The inevitability of punishment for any corruption offenses was emphasized.
As a reminder, similar meetings are planned for all structural divisions of Complex. The discussions will cover topics such as "Preventing and Eliminating Conflicts of Interest," "Preventing and Combating Corruption," and the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the People and the Oliy Majlis dated 26 December 2025.
