+998 71 619 23 33As we approach this significant date – the 35th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan – we look back on our company’s journey with a special sense of responsibility. Over the years of independence, the country’s mining industry, and specifically the Chadak Mining Administration, has undergone large-scale transformations that have opened up new opportunities for development, modernization, and confident progress.
If we look back at history, the first gold mine in Chadak land was commissioned on May 4, 1970. This event became an important milestone in the history of the mining industry in Uzbekistan and marked the beginning of the development of domestic gold mining.
In the first years, production infrastructure was gradually created around the Pirmirab and Guzaksay deposits: facilities, a processing plant, utility lines, and a comfortable settlement for miners were built. In the 1980s and 1990s, the company transitioned from traditional mining methods to a more complex system of underground mining, while simultaneously improving technologies for processing of gold-bearing quartz ores.
However, a truly new stage in the life of the enterprise began during the years of independence. Large-scale modernization, the introduction of digital technologies, and profound transformations have accelerated particularly in recent years - during the reform period of the New Uzbekistan, where people, their work, and well-being are in the focus of attention.
In recent years, extensive technical upgrades have been conducted at the Chadak Mining Administration mines and gold recovery plant. Obsolete equipment has been replaced with modern, world-class drilling rigs, high-performance mining equipment, and new underground transport systems. Ore enrichment processes have been transferred to modern automated digital technologies.
At the same time, active geological exploration work continues at the Pirmirab and Guzaksay sites. Thanks to this, new promising reserves have been identified that will ensure stable and efficient operation of the enterprise for many years to come. Industrial safety, environmental protection, and participation in the national project “Yashil Makon”, which includes large-scale landscaping are equally important.
It is especially pleasant to celebrate Independence Day with worthy production results. In particular, over the first 7 months of this year, the Chadak Mining Administration has consistently implemented measures to expand production capacity and accelerate mining, construction, and installation work.
The fifth stage of reconstruction of the second tailings storage facility of the gold recovery plant was fully completed, after which the facility was officially put into operation. Mine development operations at the underground explosive storage facility (adit No. 43) have been successfully completed. The warehouse equipment is fully installed, and concrete work is 97% complete.
To develop the reserves of the “Dalniy” section of the Guzaksay mine, adit No. 63 was worked, and mining operations are actively underway here today. In accordance with the project, construction of a transport ramp to the +930 meter horizon has been successfully completed at the Pirmirab mine, which will allow to develop reserves in the Yujniy, Yujniy-2, and Promejutochniy areas to begin.
As part of the implementation of environmental and technical solutions, construction of a pumping station has been completed. This pumping station will supply groundwater flowing from the Pirmirab mine’s inclined transport ramp to the gold extraction plant for technical needs. The facility has already been commissioned.
During the reporting period, 112 thousand tons of ore were processed, and the target in this area was completed by 106.2%. Of the total production volume, 47.3 thousand tons of ore were produced by the Pirmirab and Guzaksay mines.
The gold recovery plant also showed high performance. The forecast for finished product output was exceeded: for the first metal, the figure was 101.5%, for the second metal – 122.8%.
The most important thing that Independence has given us is the opportunity to focus on a person, to create decent living and working conditions, and to develop the social and engineering infrastructure of the village of Chadak and the settlements where miners live.
Today, the company places great emphasis on supporting of young professionals, improvement of their professional skills, and building a strong talent pool. Traditional professional competitions are held regularly – “Best Young Mechanic”, “Best Mining Engineer”, “Best Young Mining Engineer”, as well as various sports competitions. Such events not only contribute to increased production efficiency, but also help young workers feel proud of their profession.
The workforce of the Chadak Mining Administration celebrates the 35th anniversary of our country’s Independence with confidence in its abilities, high professional and technological potential, and a desire for new labor achievements. I am confident that our close-knit team will continue to make a worthy contribution to the development of the enterprise and the strengthening of the country’s economic power, conscientiously performing its work and holding true to the traditions of creative labor.
Together, we will continue to move forward, explore new production frontiers, and contribute to the development of New Uzbekistan.
Happy Independence Day!
Erkin Davronov,
Acting Director of the Chadak Mine Administration
