“Yashil Makon”: the Green Initiatives of SRWD

10 April 2026, 8:12 352

As part of the national "Yashil Makon" ("Green Land") project, which has been actively developing across the country in recent years, the structural divisions of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex are demonstrating significant engagement.

In particular, the team of the Specialized Repair Works Department is making a significant contribution to the improvement and landscaping of assigned areas.

To date, the department's employees have planted 57,479 poplar saplings on a 12.5-hectare area, which they carefully tend. Furthermore, with the aim of further expanding green spaces, an additional 125,730 poplar cuttings are currently being grown.

The implemented "green belt" project also deserves special attention. A green zone has been created on a 1.2-hectare industrial site, where over 600 ornamental trees have successfully established themselves, contributing to an improved environmental situation.

It's important to note that each planted seedling and shoot is supervised by dedicated specialists. They systematically carry out all necessary agricultural practices, including plant care, watering, and pest control.

Such consistent and thoughtful steps not only transform the industrial site but also create a healthier and more favorable environment for future generations.
