The plan for anti-corruption awareness-raising events has been approved at the divisions and subsidiaries of JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex”. These events will be held from March to December 2026 under the motto: "Let's Make Our Complex a Corruption-Free Zone!"

According to the approved plan, the events will cover topics such as preventing and resolving conflicts of interest, preventing and combating corruption, and key provisions of the President's Address to the Oliy Majlis and the People of Uzbekistan dated 26 December 2025.

Today, one such awareness-raising event was organized for the staff of the department's paramilitary security service.

The representative of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Almalyk, the Advisor to the Mayor Jamshid Pardayev, the representatives of the AMMC Department of Internal Affairs of the Tashkent Region Main Directorate of Internal Affairs, and Gulnoza Sabrieva, the responsible officer of the AMMC compliance service.

The event was held in an open dialogue format. Discussions included countering religious extremism, preventing the influence of various destructive religious movements, and measures to prevent and combat corruption.

Law enforcement representatives emphasized that working teams bear significant responsibility for crime prevention at the Complex facilities. It was emphasized that it is essential to demonstrate integrity and zero tolerance for any offenses, especially corruption.

Special attention was paid to cybercrime prevention: the participants were informed of the steps they should take to avoid becoming victims of fraud.

As Gulnoza Sabrieva noted, the President's Address to the Oliy Majlis and the People of Uzbekistan dated 26 December 2025, identified the fight against corruption as a priority area of the ​​state policy. The key provisions and objectives outlined by the head of state are as follows:

"Year of Emergency Measures": The President declared 2026 the year of emergency measures in the fight against corruption, which requires decisive and uncompromising steps in this area.

"Betrayal of reforms": Corruption was characterized not only as a crime, but also as a betrayal of the reforms being implemented in the country. The head of state emphasized that it is one of the main threats to the development of the state.

"New control system": Starting in 2026, the new anti-corruption control system will be implemented in all government agencies. In particular, each ministry and agency will have a deputy head position responsible for compliance and internal anti-corruption control.

"Inevitability of responsibility": The President emphasized that those who believe their position or rank can protect them from liability are deeply mistaken, as everyone is equal before the law.

"Reducing the human factor": To prevent corruption, the goal has been set to fully digitalize areas such as public procurement, construction, and tax administration, which will minimize the impact of the human factor.

"Public Oversight": It was proposed to strengthen the system of protection for individuals reporting about corruption, as well as expand incentive mechanisms, including the awarding of the "For Contribution to the Fight against Corruption" badge and financial incentives.

All these measures were legally based on the Presidential Decree No. UP-270 dated 30 December 2025.

It was also emphasized that corruption leads to serious negative consequences, and that effective combating it requires the joint efforts of all of society.
