One of the priority tasks of geologists is to involve explored reserves in industrial development and to increase the resource base of the plant.
In order to expand the mineral resource base, AMMC specialists continue geological exploration at the Kalmakyr and Yoshlik I deposits, as well as in the Angren, Chadak and Khandiza mine administrations.
For the storage and documentation of cores obtained during drilling, AMMC was one of the first in the country to build and commission two modern core storage facilities measuring 50 by 25 meters, designed to accommodate 60 thousand boxes with samples.
Such storage facilities are extremely important for high-quality subsoil study. The core obtained during drilling must be stored in proper condition until the end of mining operations at the site, and often for decades longer. The storage period can reach 100 years, since the samples are used for repeated geological and technological studies: mineralogical, petrographic, hydrogeological and others.
For this, it is extremely important to ensure conditions for the preservation of the core: carefully organize the boxes, prevent the erasure of well markings, organize systematic storage.
All samples in the new storage facilities are placed strictly according to the system, and their description and documentation are carried out in accordance with international standards JORC. For this, geologists use protected industrial tablets "Getac" and specialized software "Datashed" and "Logchief", developed by the Australian company "MaxGeo".
The data is entered into the electronic system in interactive mode and immediately transferred to the database for subsequent Concentrator. Each batch of core samples is studied with a high degree of detail, and all information about them is recorded in digital form.
In addition to physical storage, an electronic storage facility has also been created, where all information related to core samples is collected.
Some of the samples have already undergone laboratory analysis in accordance with international standards in such laboratories as ALS Global (Kazakhstan) and SAEL (Kyrgyzstan). Currently, AMMC has completed the construction of its own modern analytical laboratory that meets international requirements, and it is being prepared for commissioning.
