The delegation headed by the Chairman of the Committee on Northern Economic Cooperation under the President of the Republic of South Korea Pak Chung Soo visited the Research and Production Association for the Production of Rare Metals and Hard Alloys of the AMMC.

At the meeting held on February 28, the guests were presented with a presentation on the activities of the Scientific and Technological Center for Rare Metals and Hard Alloys, operating at the Research and Production Association for Production of Rare Metals and Hard Alloys.

The guests got acquainted with the history of the association, its products, the activities of the workshop of hard alloys and composite materials. Scientific developments, new types of products, patents and rationalization proposals of the Center are shown.

During the talks, the parties exchanged views on the development of the association using Korean technologies. Proposals were made for cooperation in the processing of copper, rare metals, including selenium, tellurium.

A proposal was also made to transfer advanced Korean technologies in the field of metallurgy to the association. In particular, the issues of further development of the Center and the supply of industrial experimental equipment under the Korean ODA grant were considered.

Following the visit, Mr. Pak Chong Soo expressed his gratitude and noted the need to strengthen cooperation with the plant.
