The event was attended by a representative of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Almalyk town, Jamshid Pardaev, an adviser to the khokim of town on religious issues, Gulnoza Sabrieva, a specialist from the Complex Compliance Service, and employees of the Tashkent region Department of Internal Affairs of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

“President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s address to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan on December 26, 2025, took the anti-corruption strategy to a fundamentally new level”, noted Gulnoza Sabrieva.

The document declares 2026 a year of “state of emergency” in the fight against corruption. This became the culmination of the state’s tough and uncompromising position towards this phenomenon. Systematic digitalization of processes and the elimination of conflicts of interest have made anti-corruption policy a priority. Strengthening of public control and development of a culture of complete intolerance towards corruption among the population were identified as key factors for success. According to experts, the fight against corruption is a task not only for the state, but for society as a whole. Here, civil control and the legal culture of the population play a decisive role. The plant is also implementing a systematic work: a conflict-of-interest regulation system has been implemented, and by the end of 2025, the Complex rating reached a high 89 points. Thanks to the measures taken, damages in the amount of 1.121 billion UZS were fully compensated and the ineffective use of funds in the amount of 1.180 billion UZS was prevented, which were returned to the Complex balance sheet. The meeting also emphasized the importance of protecting against the influence of foreign religious movements, the inadmissibility of visiting banned websites, and interaction with extremist content online. Special attention was paid to cases of the Complex employees taking out loans in someone else’s name, which leads to unpleasant consequences if payments are not made on time. Participants were reminded of the risks of online gambling and cybercrime, as well as the scammers traps, that can lead to the loss of funds on their bank cards. At the end of the event, every employee was strongly advised to exercise vigilance not only in financial transactions but also when using social media, as any questionable actions inevitably lead to legal liability.
