After all, if an employee doesn’t feel confident and relaxed in the workplace, this inevitably impacts their productivity. That’s why creating safe working conditions is a key task for any manufacturing enterprise.
To promote these principles, World Day for Safety and Health at Work is celebrated annually worldwide on April 28. To mark this occasion, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex organized an extended seminar on “Ensuring a Healthy Psychological and Social Atmosphere in the Workplace!”
The event took place on April 30 at the Metallurg Palace of Culture. Participating were specialists from the Ministry of Health, faculty and researchers from the Tashkent State Medical University and the Research Institute of Sanitation, Hygiene, and Occupational Diseases, representatives of the Almalyk Industrial Safety Inspectorate, the Trade Union Council, and the AMMC’s Department of Occupational Health and Safety.
The event featured presentations on the following topics:
An open discussion platform was organized for industry specialists and occupational safety officials, where proposals for fostering a safety culture, starting from the basic level of the production structure, were presented.
Following the seminar, a group of occupational safety professionals were awarded commemorative gifts. Furthermore, an exhibition of special clothing and personal protective equipment designed for industrial enterprises was held as part of the event.
The seminar emphasized the importance of focusing on the human factor in production processes, fostering a safety culture, and maintaining worker health.
