The Activities of the AMMC Qualification Assessment Center Were Highly Appreciated

In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan 2024 "On measures to further improve the national qualifications system of the Republic of Uzbekistan", the key tasks were the development of this system and the integration of qualification levels of Uzbekistan with international standards.

Recently, the representatives of the Institute for Development of the National Qualifications System together with UNESCO experts visited Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, where a qualifications assessment center was created. Head of the Institute's assessment and accreditation group Nazar Khaitov, UNESCO quality assurance expert Lenn Stanton, UNESCO consultant Bekhzod Kodirkhonov and Head of the Qualifications Assessment Center of Ammofos-Maxam JSC Ma'mur Abdusattorov got acquainted with the work of the center and the conditions created for an objective assessment of the professional skills of applicants.

The center at the plant became one of the first in the country to receive accreditation and was recognized as exemplary. The head of the training center, Doniyor Karimov, showed the guests what conditions have been created for assessing the professional skills and abilities of candidates. The delegation also visited the training and practical training ground at the engineering school, where they got acquainted with the production equipment and modern technologies used in industry.

The head of the qualifications assessment center, Shakhboz Rakhmonov, presented the structure of the institution, giving a detailed account of the organizational system, quality assurance, regulatory framework, developed professional standards and assessment tools. He also spoke about the involvement of experts in the assessment process, recording results and the use of innovative technologies.

To date, the center has developed 67 professional standards and corresponding assessment materials. A total of 2,150 tests in various areas and 255 practical assignments have been prepared.

The UNESCO expert particularly noted the high level of the center's material and technical base, including modern equipment, simulators, training grounds and laboratories created for training personnel and assessing qualifications. The UNESCO consultant emphasized that all documentation is conducted in full compliance with the requirements, and work with experts, data collection and analysis are organized at a high level. Following the visit, the parties agreed on further effective cooperation.
