At the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex the safety of the lives and health of workers, as well as creation of safe and decent working conditions for them remain one of the main priorities in organization of production processes. For these purposes, an on-site inspection was conducted at Copper Concentrator No. 3, during which compliance with occupational health and safety requirements was examined in detail.

The commission, led by Sadi Shermatov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Almalyk MMC” JSC for Personnel and Social Issues, was attended by the heads and specialists of the Department of Labor Protection and Industrial Safety, the Department of Human Resources Management, the training center, as well as responsible managers and specialists of Copper Concentrator No. 3.

During the inspection, issues of compliance with safety regulations, fulfillment of industrial sanitation and hygiene requirements, as well as measures taken to ensure fire safety were examined. Based on the results, specific tasks were identified that need to be implemented in the future.

In particular, responsible managers have been instructed to systematically conduct safety training for employees on industrial hygiene, fire safety, and occupational health and safety, as well as regularly monitor compliance with established requirements.

Particular attention will be paid to the organization of employee training and objective assessment of their level of knowledge. At the same time, it is strictly forbidden to allow workers who have not undergone special training and knowledge testing in accordance with the established procedure to participate in production processes.

In addition, before work begins, responsible managers shall organize review of visual videos on safety rules for workers. It is also planned to increase the number of warning signs and informational means directly at workplaces.

It is important to note that the practical test performed at the factory was only the first stage of this work. In the future, similar scheduled inspections shall be organized at all enterprises and production units of the Complex.

After all, the greatest asset of our Complex is its people, whose dedicated work ensures its stable and efficient operation.
