We must never forget that friendship among peoples is a sacred value, a guarantee of our peaceful, free, and prosperous life. Today, as a single nation, a single society, we are pursuing the path of development for the sake of the happiness of our children, for the future of our native Uzbekistan, and we will surely achieve our lofty goals. In honor of Peoples' Friendship Day, celebrated annually on 30July, a celebratory event was held in the square in front of the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture at the initiative of the Council for Spiritual and Educational Work of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

Welcoming remarks were addressed by Sadi Shermatov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors for Human Resources and Social Affairs at JSC “Almalyk MMC”, and Ergash Abduraimov, Deputy Head of Almalyk Town Administration. They warmly congratulated those gathered on the occasion and emphasized the special significance of this date.

The speakers noted that interethnic harmony, mutual respect, tolerance, and social cohesion are the solid foundations of peace and stability, which the New Uzbekistan is rightfully proud of today. It was also emphasized that the diverse nationalities working at the Complex and living in Almalyk collectively make a significant contribution to the development of the enterprise and the town, setting a shining example of unity and creative work.

The festive atmosphere continued with a concert program prepared by creative groups from the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture, staff from the town Department of Culture, and students from Children's Music and Arts School No. 8. The audience was delighted by vibrant musical numbers, heartfelt songs, and colorful national dances from around the world, making the celebration truly warm and memorable.

The performances by representatives of the Russian and Korean National Cultural Centers of Almalyk were particularly well received by the event's guests. Their performances were met with heartfelt applause.

It is worth noting that International Friendship Day was established by the UN General Assembly on 3 May 2011. Since 2021, 30 July has been officially celebrated as People's Friendship Day in Uzbekistan.

Today, representatives of more than 130 nationalities and ethnic groups, as well as 16 religious denominations, live in peace and harmony in our country. Together, they make a significant contribution to the development and prosperity of Uzbekistan.

The large and friendly AMMC family unites representatives of 36 nationalities. Working shoulder to shoulder, their daily efforts contribute to the development of the enterprise and the prosperity of our country.
