Yesterday, on January 14, a celebratory event was held at the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture to mark the 34^th anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Defenders of the Motherland Day. The event was organized by the Tashkent Regional Khokimiyat jointly with the Khokimiyat of Almalyk town and the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. The event was attended by Zoyir Mirzaev, the khokim of Tashkent region, representatives of the Almalyk town khokimiyat, the management of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC), military personnel serving in the Armed Forces, their family members, veterans, representatives of law enforcement agencies, government and public organizations, and labor veterans.

Addressing the participants, Zoyir Mirzayev, the khokim of the region and head of the military-administrative sector, warmly congratulated those gathered on the holiday and emphasized the importance of the large-scale reforms being carried out in the military under the leadership of the President - Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. He noted that the country is consistently strengthening the army’s material and technical base, expanding social support measures for service members, and building a modern, mobile, and combat-ready army capable of reliably protecting the peace and security of the Motherland.

During the event, service members demonstrating dedication and loyalty to duty were recognized. They were ceremoniously awarded with certificates of honor and valuable gifts.

The military hows were of particular interest to the audience. A vibrant artistic program enhanced the festive atmosphere. Renowned artists, a military orchestra, and creative groups from the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture performed heartfelt songs and musical compositions extolling love for the Motherland and devotion to native land.
