"OKMK" took part in the pre-match press conference on the eve of the meeting with Al-Sib in the Asian Champions League.

Head coach of Almalyk Mirjalol Kosymov and team captain Sanzhar Tursunov answered questions from journalists.

Mirjalol Kosymov: We were waiting for this match. The atmosphere in the AFC Champions League is very special. We are ready for the upcoming game. Our goal is to advance to the next stage.

Sanzhar Tursunov: Tomorrow we will try to please the residents of Almalyk.

- At one of the press conferences after the Super League match, you said that you do not prepare in advance for matches. Three days have passed since your game against Olympic. Have you had time to prepare for the game against Al-Sib?

M.K.: Yes, you noticed correctly, because you can’t jump from match to match. But this game, of course, was in our heads. We have collected enough information about the opponent. I watched Al-Sibah matches, the team defends well and can launch quick attacks. Sometimes they even scored goals in 95-96 minutes. I believe in my team. We will need to carefully approach the implementation of scoring chances and make as few mistakes as possible.

- Are you satisfied with the team’s composition for the Champions League after the summer transfer window?

M.K.: We must comply with the requirements of the UzPFL when recruiting the squad. We can't buy as many players as we want. If we have two players in each position, then there will be favorable conditions for development, there will be competition. We will try to get the most out of the current lineup.

Before the AFC Champions League qualifying match against OKMK, Al-Siba head coach Jorvan Vieira took part in a press conference.

Al Seeba head coach Jorvan Vieira: This is my third visit to Uzbekistan. I have been here before with the Kuwait and Malaysia national teams. Al-Sib will have a difficult match tomorrow. I am confident that both teams will give their best.

- In 2008, you and Sepahan played against Bunyodkor, which was then headed by the current head coach of OKMK Mirjalol Kosymov. Remember that match?

- Yes, I remember that game. But it would be wrong to dwell on the past. I will add that Uzbek football players are now at a higher level - for example, Shukurov and Ganiev.

- Question to Sanzhar Tursunov. How would you rate the quality of the field at OKMK's home stadium after reconstruction?

S.T.: I saw the new lawn. I can say that our stadium after reconstruction is the best in Uzbekistan.

M.K.: I would like to say thank you to the club management for the reconstruction once again. Football players get real pleasure when they take to the field of such a stadium. Now even the Uzbekistan national team can play in Almalyk AMMC
