When cooperation is reinforced by action

11 February 2026, 9:13 337

On 13 January, the expanded meeting of the Security Council devoted to strengthening the country's military security and defense capability, chaired by the President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was held.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that peace and tranquility are among the most important national values today and must not be forgotten for a moment. To reliably preserve them, all sectors and industries must proceed to a proactive approach that includes early response to potential threats and risks.

During the meeting, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief also outlined key objectives for the future. Particular emphasis was placed on the need to further improve the military training system.

For practical realization of these objectives, the management of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) visited the military unit of the command of the troops for protection of classified facilities of the Ministry of Defense. The unit's training building was built and commissioned this year with the sponsorship of AMMC. During the visit, representatives of the Complex management inspected the office premises and thoroughly examined the conditions created for military personnel.

Following the visit, specific and targeted plans were identified aimed at further improving service and working conditions for personnel, as well as developing infrastructure in line with modern requirements. On the same day, a modern JAC vehicle, purchased with funds from the AMMC, was donated to the military unit.

It is worth noting that the military personnel of this unit provide security for the copper complex, which is of strategic importance.

The constant attention paid by the AMMC management to the military unit can rightfully be considered a clear and practical example of strong and sustainable cooperation between the industrial enterprise and the military.
