+998 71 619 23 33On the eve of the 35th anniversary of our country’s independence, work to strengthen the country’s industrial potential, improve production efficiency, and implement major creative projects is of particular importance.
The team of the Specialized Repair Department of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex also makes a worthy contribution to these processes. The main activity of the enterprise is major and current repairs of process equipment, lifting mechanisms and production infrastructure. It is the timely and high-quality execution of repair and maintenance work that ensures the smooth and stable operation of the Complex production processes. Today, the Specialized Repair Department team successfully accomplishes its assigned tasks to increase labor productivity, rationally use of resources, and implement advanced technologies.
In particular, the results of January-July 2026 clearly demonstrated the high efficiency of the team’s work. The volume of works completed for this period amounted to 117% of target, exceeding the previous year result for the same period - 104%.
During the reporting period, Specialized Repair Department specialists completed repair and installation work in the following main areas:
Rational use of resources and reduction of production costs are among the priority areas of activity of an industrial enterprise. Based on the results of the first half of current year, significant savings were achieved through cost optimization and the mobilization of internal reserves. The introduction of a new epoxy-based varnish technology into the production process, replacing bakelite, has contributed to resource savings and optimized warehouse inventory levels.
In addition, in the period from January to July 2026, within the framework of the Localization Program aimed at ensuring of industrial independence, the forecast for the localization of technological and non-standard equipment, as well as gas and dust cleaning and ventilation systems, was fulfilled by 114%.
The specialists of the Specialized Repair Department are actively involved in the implementation of AMMC modernization projects. Thus, within the framework of the Copper Concentrator-3 project, 235.3 tons (558 units) of large-sized metal structures were manufactured and transferred for installation for lime storage and processing buildings. In addition, more than 184 tons of metal structures have been assembled into single modules in the intermediate crushing buildings (ICB), ore preparation buildings (OPB), and chemical reagent shops.
During the construction of sulfuric acid shop No. 6 at the zinc plant and in the Waelz shop, ventilation and natural gas systems were installed, and thermal insulation of gas pipelines and tanks was performed. In the Drying-Absorption Facility-2, work was performed on acid-resistant lining and welding of more than 780 meters of acid pipelines made of a special SX alloy using the latest welding technology. In the Waelz shop, one of the new filters of the “DMC-370-6” brand was completely assembled and installed, in addition, more than 1,800 meters of welding work was completed.
In the grinding and flotation shop of the copper concentrator, 14 sets of automated pump-hydrocyclone units “WM” were installed to replace the outdated hydrocyclones. A significant amount of installation and repair work has also been completed at the “Kauldy” mine administration and crushing shop No. 1 of the copper concentrator.
By the end of the year, large-scale repair and installation work is planned, as well as active participation in projects to upgrade ventilation and aspiration systems.
Today, industrial development is impossible to imagine without digital technologies and innovations. The Specialized Repair Department also systematically works to improve the modern knowledge and skills of its employees, as well as to introduce digital technologies into production processes. In particular, 114 employees were trained within the framework of the “5 million leaders of artificial intelligence” project, and another 21 employees were trained under the “1C: ZUP”. To implement artificial intelligence technologies in production, a “Youth Bureau” is being created, which will include promising young specialists.
As we celebrate the 35th anniversary of our independence with great pride and gratitude, it is important not only to sum up our achievements, but also to clearly define the challenges we face.
In the second half of 2026, the Specialized Repair Department team faces important challenges: ensuring of full compliance with production targets, reduction of costs, and completion of work on major investment and reconstruction projects in a high-quality and timely manner.
Independence gave us the opportunity to build our own future. Today, our achievements, production growth, new projects and efforts to implement modern technologies are the tangible embodiment of these opportunities.
We are confident that the Specialized Repair Department workforce, working harmoniously and collaboratively, will successfully complete all assigned tasks and make a significant contribution to the economic development of our country.
