10 April 2026, 9:15 420

"Whoever doubts our might should look at the buildings we have created" – these wise words of the great statesman and military leader Timur, carried through the centuries, remain profound today, inspiring a new generation to achieve lofty goals.

The Sahibkiran's legacy is not only the pages of history that capture his memory, but also a solid foundation for creative transformation and the progressive development of our country.

In Uzbekistan, preserving the memory of great ancestors and popularizing their rich scientific and spiritual heritage have become a priority area of state policy. In this regard, according to Presidential Resolution No. 46, the 690th anniversary of Timur's birth will be widely celebrated in 2026.

The document also provides for the annual declaration of April as "Amir Temur Month" and the implementation of a number of educational projects within the framework of a roadmap extending to 2030.

As part of these initiatives, the event organized by the Spiritual and Educational Work Committee of the AMMC Workers' Trade Union Council was held at the Industrial Rail Transport Department on 8 April of this year. At the beginning of the meeting, the participants highlighted Sahibkiran's rich historical legacy, his courage, outstanding leadership abilities, and personal qualities, which serve as a role model for young people.

The event featured a theatrical image of Timur and a stage performance. Participants were also impressed by musical numbers performed by Uygun Tovboyev, singer of the “Metallurg” Culture Palace.

Following the spiritual and educational meeting, active participants were presented with commemorative gifts – a copy of the “Vatan” magazine.

A similar event was held at the Qalmaqqir Mine Administration, attended by Hurshid Abdullayev, Assistant Director for Youth Affairs, and the young employees of the enterprise. During the roundtable, it was emphasized that Timur occupies a unique place not only in the history of the Uzbek people but also in the development of world civilization. During the event, Ozoda Ermanova, the mine's leading economist, and Diora Ilgina, mining rate setter, were awarded commemorative gifts for their active participation in the dictation test held among the Complex engineering and technical staff from 31 March to 3 April. Additionally, drilling specialist Abbos Mavlyanov, duty electrical fitter Zohid Mambetov, and mine surveyor Sitora Nabieva were also recognized for their active participation in the discussion.

A similar event was also held at the heat and power plant. During a "spirituality hour" jointly organized by the trade union committee, the Women's and Gender Equality Advisory Council, and the spiritual and educational commission, participants were provided with detailed information about the life and work of the great military leader and statesman Timur.

A spiritual and educational evening dedicated to the life and legacy of this great ancestor was also held at the Kauldy Mine Administration. A video about the life of Timur was shown during the event.

The spiritual and educational events held at the AMMC's structural divisions, timed to coincide with the 690th anniversary of Timur’s birth, helped strengthen a sense of national pride and respect for historical heritage among employees, especially young people.
