25 June 2026, 14:40 248

On June 22 of this year, the folk dance group “Kaleydoskop” got the top award at the prestigious International Choreographic Art Competition “Nomad Cup”.

This prestigious artistic event, organized by the Russian Federation and the International Union of Choreographers with the support of the State Dance Ensemble of Uzbekistan “Bakhor”, united the best dance groups from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.

We are especially proud of the brilliant performance of the folk dance group “Kaleydoskop” from the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture, led by Nasiba Mambetova, on this international stage. The company demonstrated a high level of performance skill and achieved impressive success, presenting a series of vibrant choreographic sets in three age categories to the jury and audience.

Thus, the junior group captivated the audience with the spirited and energetic Mexican dance “Tapatío”, the middle group presented the mysterious and unique composition “Nordic Breath”, and the senior group masterfully performed the dance production “Ancient Egypt”. All performances were met with prolonged applause from the audience.

At the end of the competition, all three age groups of the ensemble were awarded first-degree diplomas.

The most exciting moment of the competition was the unanimous decision of the jury: the highest award of the international competition – the Grand Prix and the main trophy, the “Nomad Cup” – were solemnly presented to the folk dance ensemble “Kaleydoskop”!

The recognition from outstanding masters of choreographic art has acquired particular value for the group. In particular, the ensemble’s long-standing work was highly praised by the former artistic director and chief choreographer of the Mukarrama Turgunbaeva State Dance Ensemble “Bakhor”, Honored Artist of Uzbekistan and People’s Artist of Karakalpakstan Ziyoda Madrakhimova, as well as renowned choreographer, director, and member of the UNESCO International Dance Council, Ravshan Choriev. Their recognition was a truly high reward for years of dedicated work.

We send our heartiest congratulations to the team with this historic victory and wish them new creative achievements and remarkable accomplishments!
