+998 71 619 23 33This year, based on the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the 80th anniversary of the Victory in World War II and the Day of Remembrance and Honor are held under a deep and meaningful motto: "Heroism in the name of prosperity, peace and protection of the Motherland will not be forgotten."
Today, representatives of the management of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex , the Almalyk Town Administration, various enterprises and departments, military personnel, law enforcement officers and respected elders gathered at the sacred memorial "Grieving Mother". Together they bowed their heads in gratitude and eternal memory of those who gave their lives for freedom and peace.
To the mournful melodies, the participants of the ceremony laid flowers at the foot of the monument, thereby expressing deep respect for the heroes who did not return from the battlefield.
Almost 2 million Uzbeks were sent to the front during World War II. More than 538 thousand of them died a heroic death, over 158 thousand were missing in action. And already in the years of independence, about 200 of our fellow citizens – military and law enforcement officers sacrificed their lives for the sake of peace and stability in their native land. By decree of the head of state, as a token of gratitude and appreciation:
each participant and disabled person of the war will be paid 10,000 USD;
each person equated to a participant in the war – 25 million UZS;
each participant of the labor front of 1941-1945 – 3 million UZS.
Memory is not just a duty. It is our inner strength, our respect for the past and responsibility for the future. Today we remember the heroes not only with sadness, but also with pride. Their feat lives in every peaceful day, in every happy moment of life under the free sky.
