Online Gambling: Risks You Must Remember Of

13 July 2026, 9:35 357

Stories of people who have fallen victim to online gambling are increasingly appearing in the media. The desire to make a quick buck is often followed by large debts, family conflicts, and serious life problems. Such cases once again remind of the need for extreme caution.

According to experts, online gambling can be highly addictive. In pursuit of easy money, people lose their savings, and sometimes, in an attempt to cover their losses, they commit illegal acts. Such consequences can ruin not only the financial well-being of the person but also the lives of the person and their relatives.

This topic was the focus of the latest preventative event organized for employees of the Qalmaqqir mine.

The meeting was attended by Jamshid Pardayev, the representative of the Almalyk Committee on Religious Affairs and the Advisor on Religious Affairs of the Head of town administration; Asilbek Toshpulatov, the operational officer of the Interior Affairs Department of the Tashkent Region Directorate of Interior Affairs at AMMC; Viloyat Davletova, Chief Specialist for Social, Domestic, and Psychological Issues at the AMMC Trade Union Council; and Nigora Ataeva, Head of the Zarkhal Office at the Almalyk City Branch of the National Bank.

The experts used real-life examples to describe the consequences of online gambling, which is becoming increasingly common among young people today. Particular attention was paid to the fact that the desire to get rich quickly and make easy money often leads to financial ruin, property loss, family problems, and other serious consequences.

At the end of the meeting, the employees had the opportunity to ask the experts any questions they had. Special attention was given to modern digital fraud schemes and ways to protect against them. Participants received detailed explanations and practical recommendations. Furthermore, during the meeting, participants were briefed on the company's ongoing efforts to prevent and combat corruption.

Such preventative meetings help improve employees' legal and financial literacy and foster a responsible attitude toward personal and information security.
