CCP-3: WATER-SAVING TECHNOLOGY WILL BE USED AT THE FACTORY

24 January 2024, 8:24 802

As part of the implementation of the project “Development of the Yoshlik I deposit” at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, the construction of copper concentration plant No. 3 continues.

The construction of the process water supply and sewerage shop of the factory, which consists of 4 sections, is also underway at an active pace. This is a section of process water supply and wastewater disposal, a section of heat supply, a section of gas facilities and a section of the aspiration ventilation system.

As the head of this shop, Saifiddin Kurbanov, said, the gas facility sector will supply water heating boilers with gas. Design work on this section has been completed and gas pipeline construction has begun. Works on laying gas pipelines are carried out by representatives of the department of specialized repair work and “Olmalikmetallurgkurilish” trust. To date, installation work in this area has been completed by 30%.

The aspiration ventilation system section will be responsible for the ongoing repairs of all ventilation systems after the factory is launched in accordance with the project.

The production processes use water, that is why this workshop is considered a very important link in the overall chain of the factory. Water entering the factory from the industrial water supply shop of the AMMC first goes to the CCP-3 pumping station. From a reservoir next to the coarse ore warehouse, water flows to all shops of the factory by gravity. It is worth noting that this process does not consume electricity, which leads to increased profitability.

Currently, the construction of one of the four reservoirs is 90% complete. The diameter of the tank is 40 meters and the height is 21 meters. Construction and installation work on the other three tanks is also underway. Construction work is organized in 3 shifts involving 500 workers.

In addition, another task of this shop is to provide workers with drinking water and hot water supply for showers.

It is important to emphasize that the workshop will use water-saving technology. For this purpose, according to the project, a structure will be built at the factory that will purify wastewater and put it back into operation.

At the moment, the workshop staff is 50% complete. Today, employees undergo internships in the structural divisions of the plant to improve their skills.
