The school year has concluded in the country's high schools, and the long-awaited summer holidays have begun for schoolchildren. Children's health camps located in picturesque corners of the republic have made extensive preparations to welcome children. Preparatory work has also been fully completed at the camps of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

According to Sherali Kucharov, Chief Specialist for Cultural, Educational, and Sports Work at AMMC Trade Union Council, the preparations for the summer health campaign have been completed in accordance with the minutes of the meeting of the Republican Commission on the Organization of Children's Recreation and Health Promotion dated 3 April 2026, as well as Order No. 577 of JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex” dated 23 April 2026, "On Preparations for the 2026 Summer Health Season."

The AMMC Trade Union Council has approved the set of organizational measures for the preparation and implementation of the summer season. Key areas of work include:

Camp preparation. Before the start of the season, the bedrooms and utility rooms were renovated, and the camp areas were landscaped.

Staffing. Experienced teachers, caregivers, cooks, and dietary nurses were recruited in collaboration with the town Department of Public Education.

Medical support. Each shift is provided with a doctor and a nurse in coordination with the city medical association.

Health Monitoring. All camp staff have undergone mandatory medical examinations and sanitary training. Children are admitted upon presentation of medical certificate form No. 079.

Eventful Leisure Activities. Spiritual, educational, patriotic, and sporting events are planned for campers.

Meals. A weekly menu has been developed in accordance with sanitary requirements. Only certified food products are supplied to the camps.

In addition, informational materials and visual displays on emergency and infectious disease prevention have been posted throughout the camps. The implementation of all preparatory activities is under constant control.

To ensure the efficient organization of the summer season, a training seminar was held on 4 June for camp staff. Representatives from the city's public education department, the medical association, the sanitary and epidemiological service, emergency response units, and law enforcement agencies participated.

Sanitary and epidemiological service specialists briefed the participants on current sanitary standards and requirements and organized training on the minimum sanitary requirements program. A weekly menu was coordinated with relevant specialists to ensure nutritious and safe nutrition for children throughout the season.

To ensure the smooth operation of the camps, the Automobile Transport Department has allocated standby vehicles, specialized vehicles for food and drinking water delivery, and ambulances.

Currently, AMMC operates several children's health camps.

The “Istiklol” Children's Health Camp, located in Zaamin District of Jizzakh Region, will operate in four shifts. The first shift begins on 9 June. Over the summer season, 800 children — 200 in each shift — will be able to relax and improve their health here.

All preparations have also been completed at the “Metallurg” Children's Health Camp, located in the Bostanlyk District. The camp will accommodate children in four shifts, the first of which will begin on 11 June. A total of 800 children will vacation here over the season.

The “Gulzor” Children's Health Camp, also located in the Bostanlyk District, is fully prepared for the opening of the season. The first shift will begin on 13 June. The camp will operate in four shifts and accommodate 1,800 children — 450 in each shift.

The “Tong” Camp in the Pskent District has also completed all necessary preparations. It will operate in three shifts, and the first group of campers will arrive on 16 June. Over the summer, 600 children will be able to vacation here.

For reference: in 2026, AMMC plans to organize four recreational shifts at its children's health camps, during which approximately 4,000 children will receive summer health treatment.
