As is well known, the first Sunday of April is traditionally celebrated as Geological Workers' Day in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

To mark this occasion, the celebratory event was held today for representatives of the geological service of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

In his speech, Abdulla Khursanov, Chairman of the Board of JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex”, emphasized that, thanks to the initiatives of the head of state, the geological industry is receiving special attention, and new promising deposits are being discovered. He noted the important role of industry specialists in the investment projects of the Complex and warmly congratulated everyone on the holiday. It was especially emphasized that the expansion of the raw material base and the development of new deposits were made possible thanks to the hard work of geologists.

During the event, 11 top production workers were awarded AMMC Certificate of Honor, and another five were awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Mining and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In addition, the winners of the professional excellence competition "Best Workers of the Geological Service" were awarded in nine categories.

The concert program prepared by amateur artist groups from the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture put the participants in a festive mood.
