02 March 2026, 9:55 483

Today, approximately eight thousand women work at one of the country’s largest industrial enterprises, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. These are true masters of their craft: skilled specialists, talented and well-rounded persons. They masterfully combine responsibility and dedication to their profession with a creative approach, bringing energy, skill and inspiration to production process.

In order to reveal their abilities, highlight their individuality, and reward active representatives of the fair half of the team, the Council of the AMMC Workers’ Trade Union annually holds the traditional “OKMK Guzali” (“Beauty of the AMMC”) competition.

The final of the 2026 season took place recently at the Metallurg Palace of Culture. Five participants who successfully passed the qualifying round met in the decisive stage.

Those vying for the honorary distinction included: Orzigul Madimarova, a supply storekeeper at the Kauldy mine; Shakhnoza Turgunova, a draftsperson at the Underground Reinforcement and Ventilation Section of the “Olmalikmetallurgkurilish” complex of enterprises; Iroda Kuziboeva, a control panel operator at the Copper Concentrator; Madina Umurkulova, an electrician at the Industrial Rail Transport Department; and Aziz Rakhmatullaeva, a work distributor at the Central Repair and Mechanical Plant.

The competitresses competed in three stages, each of which allowed them to reveal different individual properties.

The first stage – “National Image” – became a real celebration of movement and traditions. In their dance routines, the participants demonstrated grace, sophistication, and the richness of their cultural heritage. Their performances filled the hall with an atmosphere of spring inspiration and sincere emotions.

In the second stage – “My Day” – the finalists presented videos about their professional activities. The audience experienced a working day at a factory and learned about the participants’ daily work routines, hobbies, and life values. Behind the scenes of production processes, character, determination and love for the chosen work were revealed.

The third stage – “Family is sacred” – was dedicated to social issues. Through their stage productions, the participants addressed pressing contemporary issues, emphasizing the importance of family and the special role of women as guardian of the hearth, supporters, and inspirations.

According to the results of the competition, Shakhnoza Turgunova was awarded the “Most Graceful” nomination, Iroda Kuziboeva the “Most Joyful” nomination, Orzigul Madimarova the “Most Creative” nomination, and Madina Umurkulova the “Most Skillful” nomination. Aziza Rakhmatullaeva was declared the OKMK Guzali-2026.

All participants were awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts from the AMMC Workers’ Trade Union Council.
