On March 7, 2024, in the village of Chadak, Pap district of Namangan region, another sewing factory was opened, built with the financial support of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

The opening ceremony of the Almalyk Garment Factory was attended by the management of AMMC, the senior officials of the Namangan regional administration and representatives of the general public.

The Chairman of the Board of JSC “Almalyk MMC”, Senator Abdulla Khursanov, who opened the event, noted that the plant will continue to work to create the necessary socio-economic conditions for women, as well as to provide them with comprehensive support.

The Head of the Pap region administration Azamjon Sultanov, the labor veterans of the Chadak mine administration, as well as young factory workers noted that all these good deeds are the result of the reforms carried out by our President.

Next, a symbolic ‘ribbon cutting’ ceremony took place, after which the factory, which became a kind of gift for International Women’s Day for the women of the village of Chadak, officially began its activities.

During the event, a group of factory workers were also awarded in connection with the holiday.

It is worth noting that the latest sewing machines made in Japan and China were purchased for the sewing factory, launched jointly with “OKMK Chodak Tekstil” LLC.

Thanks to the launch of this factory, 520 women were employed.

The factory will mainly produce men's and women's jeans. The annual production capacity of the enterprise is 520 thousand pieces of products, half of which will be sold for export. It is noteworthy that orders have already been received for the products of this factory for a year in advance.

The factory building also houses the regional monocenter “Ishga Marhamat”. The monocenter will have open practice areas and electric and gas welding booths. The façade of the building and the classrooms where classes are held were also renovated. In this center, unemployed residents of the village of Chadak are trained in professions that are currently in great demand.

For reference: In 2021, a garment factory was created in the AMMC dormitory building, employing 250 people.

In addition, in 2022, in the village of Chadak, with the sponsorship of AMMC, the sewing factory of “Equatorial Chodak” LLC was put into operation. Thanks to the commissioning of the factory, 250 women living in the Papal region were provided with work.

A big event was held at the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture dedicated to the most tender, bright and beautiful holiday - International Women's Day.

The Chairman of the Board of JSC “Almalyk MMC” Abdulla Khursanov, who opened the festive concert, expressed sincere congratulations on the day of beauty and love, warm wishes, as well as words of gratitude for the warmth, natural wisdom, professionalism and dedication to work.

Also during the event, 56 workers of the plant – production leaders – were awarded certificates of honor and valuable gifts.

The concert program prepared by amateur artistic groups of the Palace of Culture "Metallurg", as well as songs by honored artists of Uzbekistan Abdulla Shomagrupov and Shukhrat Vokhidov gave the guests of the event a real holiday of spring and tenderness.
