Investment Projects of AMMC: Control, Pace, Responsibility

17 June 2025, 8:43 1030

On June 14, the Chairman of the Board of JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex” Abdulla Khursanov got acquainted with the progress of investment projects and discussed key tasks with responsible specialists.

First of all, he visited the construction site of the new Sulfuric Acid Shop No. 6 at the Zinc Plant. Having familiarized himself with the progress of the construction, the head gave a number of instructions to eliminate the identified deficiencies and accelerate construction.

Construction and installation work at the site is carried out by the Olmalykmetallurgkurilish trust and the Specialized Repair Work Department.

The commissioning of the new shop is scheduled for this year. The shop will halve emissions of harmful gases into the atmosphere, which will have a positive effect on the environmental situation. In addition, the outdated GK-30 electrostatic precipitators, previously used to clean gas in the production of zinc and acid, will be replaced with modern filters from the Danish company FLSmidth.

On the same day, the management and specialists of AMMC also visited the Copper Concentrator Plant-3. Here they checked the progress of commissioning works and the technical condition of the installed equipment. The responsible persons were given clear instructions to accelerate the phased launch of the enterprise into operation. It was emphasized that each project participant must approach their work with full responsibility at all stages of the implementation of this large project.

An inspection was also carried out of the construction work of the Kauldy gold recovery plant, which is designed to process raw materials from the Kauldy and Kuyi-Kenzhasai deposits. In accordance with the design capacity, the enterprise will process 200 thousand tons of ore per year and extract precious metals. The management of the plant gave instructions to ensure the timely completion of construction and the delivery of the necessary equipment.

It should be noted that the new facility is being built entirely by the forces and specialists of AMMC itself, and it will be the third gold recovery plant of the plant – after Angren and Chadak.
