08 April 2025, 17:9 1694

Almalyk mining and metallurgical complex showed a steady growth in the anti-corruption performance rating conducted by the anti-corruption agency. The official results for 2024 were published on 8 April 2025.

During the reporting period, the Central office and structural divisions of the plant regularly posted reports on the work done on the e-anticor.uz platform – in accordance with the requirements of the Decree of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-81 dated 12 January 2022.

As part of joint work with the Agency and the Compliance service of the Ministry of mining and geology of Uzbekistan, AMMC implemented a set of measures aimed at minimizing corruption risks. As a result, based on the results of 2024, the Complex for the first time received the status of a participant in the "green" category of the rating, scoring 85 points out of 100 possible. For comparison: 64 points were recorded in 2023, 68 in 2022.

The increase in the assessment was facilitated by targeted work with personnel. In July 2024, more than 100 managers of the Complex underwent training in special courses with the participation of representatives of the Anti-corruption Agency. In the autumn of the same year, the responsible employees of AMMC took part in a seminar on the ISO 37001:2016 standard, organized by the Ministry of mining and geology of Uzbekistan.

In addition, the plant took part in the preparation of the final report as part of the fifth stage of monitoring the OECD Istanbul Action Plan on Anti-Corruption policy for eastern Europe and Central Asia.

AMMC thanks the specialists of the Agency and the Compliance Service of the Ministry of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan for their support and assistance. In 2025, work to improve the transparency and sustainability of internal processes will be continued. All resources will be directed towards further improvement of the anti-corruption system and achieving maximum results in the national ranking.

S.Juraev,

Acting head of compliance service of AMMC
