In accordance with the decision of the Government Commission, from May 1 to 31 of this year, the country is holding a month-long campaign called “30 Striking Days” aimed at prevention of emergency situations.

As part of this initiative, preventative measures, training sessions, and large-scale training exercises are regularly organized at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

In particular, training sessions were held on the territory of the Control and Measuring Instruments and Automation Workshop of the Copper Smelter with the participation of inspectors from the Department for the Elimination of Emergency Situations at the Complex Facilities, M. Mirzakhmedov and Sh. Turdaliev. During the training, members of the volunteer fire brigade were taught fire safety rules and demonstrated the correct use of primary fire extinguishing equipment.

In addition, on May 6 of current year, comprehensive training sessions on emergency response were held on the premises of the “Olmalikmetallqurilish” Trust. The management and employees of the Trust, civil defense rescuers, and employees of the fire and rescue unit 51 of the Department for the Elimination of Emergency Situations at the Complex facilities took part in them.

During the event, A. Akhrorov, Head of the Emergency Response Department of the Complex, spoke in detail about the need for strict adherence to fire safety regulations and provided information on fires that occur at production facilities.

According to the exercise scenario, the participants practiced joint actions to extinguish a simulated fire. The fire was quickly localized and extinguished by the volunteer fire brigade and rescuers.

Following the training, the workers’ readiness was assessed, and specialists gave the necessary recommendations for further skill improvement. The main goal of such events is to develop employees’ skills for making quick decisions in emergency situations and to strengthen interaction between departments.
