25 December 2025, 15:9 641

As is known, the second Sunday of December in our country is celebrated as the Agricultural Workers' Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In honor of this date, a festive table was set for the workforce of the Consumer Goods Production Department of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.

Speaking at the event, Sa'di Shermatov, the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex" for Human Resources and Social Issues, sincerely congratulated the representatives of the industry and emphasized the significant role of agriculture in our country's stable economy, prosperous life, and the abundance of food on our people's tables.

In honor of this occasion, by order of the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex," a group of leading industry representatives were rewarded with valuable gifts and certificates of honor.

The concert program prepared by the amateur groups of "Metallurg" Cultural Center was enjoyed by everyone.

For information: today, the labor collective of the Consumer Goods Production Department effectively utilizes over a thousand hectares of land for grain and legume crops, horticulture, and fish farming. The combine's farmers, who exceeded the grain production plan, grew melons, watermelons, and cucumbers as a second harvest and presented them to the workers' tables.

Additionally, the enterprise's dairy farm regularly supplies milk, cream, yogurt, cottage cheese, butter, and packaged dairy products to the workers' canteen and the tables of the city's residents. There is high consumer demand for the combine's dairy products. As of December 1, 2025, the dairy farm produced 2,146 tons of milk, fulfilling 110% of the forecast ahead of schedule.

In addition, the company's employees are actively participating in the nationwide "Green Space" project. The department's florists, who have transformed the area into flower gardens throughout the summer, are currently preparing tens of thousands of perennial geranium and rose seedlings in the greenhouses for the spring season, and several hundred winter pansy flower seedlings are also thriving. This year, strawberries grown in a greenhouse for the first time have yielded their initial harvest.

Carp are also being raised in another branch of the enterprise - the fish farm.
