26 to 29 March this year, the second stage of the Uzbekistan Motocross Championship was held in Navoi, along with the “Silk Way” international competition.

In the framework of the national championship, the team from the Sports and Technical Club of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, led by coach Andrey Sazonov, performed admirably and took first place.

The team's individual results:

“CZ” class: Shevket Suleymanov – second place, Ilya Kudlaev – third place, Azamat Matmusayev – fifth place;

35+ cc class: Andrey Sazonov – first place, Sergey Vinogradov – second place;

500 cc class: Andrey Sazonov – third place;

750 cc motorcycle class (with sidecar): the crew of Bedri Akimov and Viktor Lavrov – first place.

At the same time, the teams from Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan competed for victory in the international “Silk Way” competition.

Following intense races, the Uzbekistan team took a respectable second place overall. The AMMC motocross riders also performed well as part of the national team.
