AMMC – through the eyes of the older generation

13 April 2026, 10:54 254

Today, the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex is not only one of the country's leading enterprises, but has also become a true economic driver for the entire region, developing at a rapid pace with confidence.

The launch of Copper Concentration Plant-3 was a particularly significant event, marking a new stage not only in the plant’s history, but also in the entire non-ferrous metallurgy sector of Uzbekistan.

This large-scale project has significantly increased production capacity, created thousands of new jobs, and strengthened economic stability. Of course, the ongoing transformations and updates are generating increasing interest among our compatriots.

On April 11 of this year, AMMC was visited by a group of respected representatives of the older generation from the mahallas of the capital, who have worked for many years in senior positions in industry and higher education institutions.

The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the company’s activities, and what they saw made a strong impression on the guests.

First, the guests visited the Engineering School, equipped with the latest in advanced global educational technologies. The design of this educational center was based on the model of the educational center of the German company “Aurubis”. Thanks to all conditions created here students can acquire not only theoretical knowledge, but also undergo comprehensive practical training.

The guests also visited the Metallurg Hall of Culture, toured the Suyurlitepa exhibition, and did not hide their admiration for the plant’s historical museum.

Of particular interest was the visit to the Kalmakyr and Yoshlik I mines, developed as part of an investment mega-project. After familiarizing themselves with the production processes, the guests were able to see at first hand the real results of the reforms being carried out in the country. They noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of the mining industry and expressed confidence that such large-scale projects will become a solid foundation for future generations.

The next item on the agenda was a visit to Copper Concentration Plant-3, which was officially commissioned on March 16 of this year with the participation of the head of our state.

Adham Saidkhodjaev, teacher, veteran of labor:

“We've heard a lot about the plant, and today we were able to see it with our own eyes.  In all honesty, I was particularly impressed by the conditions created for students at the Engineering School.  Look at the mining equipment in the quarries, the modern machinery at the factory—and all of this is operated by our young people.  I would like to wish them the best of luck in making the most of these opportunities, learning, pursuing knowledge, and working at such large enterprises.”
