These days in Gyeongju, South Korea, the 6th International Conference and Exhibition of Asian Powder Metallurgy “APMA-2023” is being held.

It is noteworthy that specialists and scientists of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex also take part in this prestigious event.

The conference, organized by KPMA - Korea Powder Metallurgy and Materials Association (Manufacturers Association) and KPMI - Korea Powder Metallurgy and Materials Institute (Scientific, Academics Association), will be held until November 30.

The exhibition is attended by 38 major manufacturers of powders and powder metallurgy products from countries such as Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, and India.

The conference brings together scientists and engineers from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, China, India, Thailand and Sweden in the field of powder metallurgy. During the sessions, the latest discoveries in the field of powder metallurgy by world-renowned scientists were presented to the attention of the participants of the international event.

It is gratifying that the development of AMMC scientists “Production and characteristics of bimetallic laminate target for sputtering on the basis of rare metals and copper” became the winner among 115 other developments.

Targets produced by this technology are used in the semiconductor industry.
