Today, Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex can rightfully be called not only a major industrial enterprise but also one of the key centers of Uzbekistan's economic diplomacy.

Regular visits by ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of foreign states to the plant clearly demonstrate that the AMMC’s authority on the international stage continues to grow steadily.

Further confirmation of this was the visit on 30 January this year of a delegation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan Alexey Erkhov, along with representatives of the Russian Trade Mission in Uzbekistan.

During the visit, the guests visited the “Qalmaqqyr” and “Yoshlik I” observation platforms, where they were introduced to the ore mining process. Furthermore, the delegation members were shown the operations of Copper Processing Plant No. 3 commissioned as part of a large-scale investment project.

The guests also expressed great interest in the clubs operating at the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture, the plant's history museum, and the “Suyurlitepa” monument museum.

During the meeting, the AMMC management and the Russian representatives exchanged views on the further development of cooperation with the Russian enterprises.

Such visits are an important strategic step not only in strengthening friendly ties but also in attracting advanced technologies, expanding investment partnerships, and opening new avenues of mutually beneficial cooperation.
