+998 71 619 23 33During the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Tashkent Region on October 14–15, 2024, instructions were given to develop the “Industrial Triangle” program and to introduce a “towage” system to support local manufacturers in five cities and districts of the region. To fulfill this directive, an exhibition of import-substituting products by the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) was organized in Almalyk in November 2024. Along with major domestic manufacturers from across the country, representatives of enterprises operating in Angren, Almalyk, Akhangaran, and the Pskent and Akhangaran districts also took part in the industrial fair. During the negotiations held within the event, AMMC management and chief specialists provided detailed information about the types of imported products used at the enterprise, their technical parameters, annual demand volume, and other essential details. Currently, under the “Industrial Triangle” program, AMMC is actively establishing cooperative relations with several enterprises located in Tashkent Region. As a result of these measures, 25 enterprises have been included in the “towage” system by the end of the first nine months of this year, producing goods worth 966 billion UZS.
In particular, “Steel Pipe Company” LLC JV, located in Akhangaran, supplied AMMC with nearly 600 tons of products worth 5.3 billion UZS. These products are now being used at the enterprise’s main production facilities. The company, established in 2018, specializes in the production of longitudinally welded steel pipes. Its monthly production capacity is between 2,500 and 3,000 tons, and since beginning cooperation with AMMC, output has increased by 50–60 tons. This initiative, aimed at strengthening cooperation between entrepreneurs and industrial enterprises, helps reduce transportation costs by 20–30% and production costs by 5–10%. In conclusion, the “towage” system within the Industrial Triangle program serves as an important factor in strengthening the economic independence of local enterprises, creating new opportunities, and ensuring sustainable development across the country.
