As part of the investment project “Development of the Yoshlik I deposit”, in 2025, the fleet of the technological transport department of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex was enlarged with the first batch of modern HITACHI EH4000AC-3 quarry dump trucks.

For now, seven of these powerful machines are already operating at full capacity at the Complex mines, and another quarry dump truck is currently being assembled and commissioned.

To further strengthen successful and promising cooperation, a representative delegation from the world-renowned Japanese company Hitachi Construction Machinery and Eurasian Construction Machinery, the brand’s official distributor in Central Asia and Kazakhstan, visited AMMC on August 13 of this year.

During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail a number of current issues aimed at expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation. In particular, the prospects for supply to the Complex the new high-capacity dump trucks manufactured by Hitachi, as well as further expansion of the partnership, were discussed.

In addition, the guests were given first-hand experience with the operation of modern equipment already in operation in the complex mining and geological conditions of the Complex mines, as well as with the organization of its maintenance.

During the visit, the foreign guests visited the Kalmakyr mine observation platform, where they reviewed the production processes and the operating conditions of mining equipment.

The next item on the program was the driving of support service vehicles. The delegation members inspected the quarry trucks and discussed prospects for implementation of joint projects in this area.

The Japanese delegation was particularly interested in the Complex Production Coordination Center. Its activities are arranged using digital solutions that enable real-time monitoring of copper production processes, data analysis, prevention of potential errors, and optimal resource allocation.

- Today we have witnessed large-scale transformations being implemented at the AMMC. It should be noted that Hitachi has all the necessary capabilities to become an active participant in these projects. I am confident that our equipment will further improve the efficiency of operations at the Complex fields. During subsequent visits, we plan to discuss in detail with the company’s management the possibilities for further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation and implementation of new agreements.

The visit of one of the world’s leading mining companies will be an important step in the development of the technological partnership between AMMC and Hitachi. It will not only take cooperation between companies to a new level, but will also contribute to further improvement of the efficiency of large-scale projects.
