+998 71 619 23 33For several years, Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex and the German bank KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH have been steadily developing a mutually beneficial partnership.
This strategic partnership serves as an important financial driver for expanding the company's production capacity and successfully implementing major investment projects.
As part of the further development of this cooperation, the delegation led by Mrs. Belgin Rudak, Chairperson of the Board of KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH, visited the AMMC, along with representatives of Euler Hermes insurance agency and the German Ministry of Economics.
Accompanied by Abdulla Khursanov, Chairman of the Board of JSC “Almalyk MMC”, the guests were introduced to the production processes implemented at the “Qalmaqir” and “Yoshlik I” mines.
The next stop on the program was a visit to the Copper Processing Plant No. 3, officially commissioned on 16 March of this year. Today, the plant produces over 800 tons of copper concentrate per day. This figure is steadily increasing monthly as it gradually ramps up to design capacity.
One of the plant's key advantages is its high level of process equipment. It has been designed as a single, integrated production complex based on innovative solutions from leading global mining equipment manufacturers – Metso Outotec, FLSmidth, Weir Minerals and Siemens. Modern process equipment and digital, automated control system significantly reduce the impact of human error, ensuring highly precise, efficient, and safe production processes.
During the visit, the foreign guests also visited the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture, where they learned about the existing clubs and the Complex museum exposition.
Following the meetings, the parties discussed in detail the prospects for further cooperation, as well as the financing of new joint projects. Belgin Rudak, Chair of Board of KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH, praised the investment projects being implemented at the plant.
For reference: in September 2023, AMMC and the German bank KfW IPEX-Bank GmbH signed the strategic mandate agreement worth US$2.55 billion to organize financing for the construction of a new copper smelter.
