AMMC brought joy to ailing hearts

Showing compassion to those who are ill, providing care, and checking on those in need are noble deeds deeply rooted in our national values.

Today, a charity event to support children diagnosed with cancer was held at the “Metallurg” Palace of Culture, organized through the cooperation of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC) and the non-governmental non-profit organization “You Are Strong”. The event became a vivid embodiment of kindness in action.

The program began with stage performances featuring various fairy-tale characters for the children.

Speaking at the event, Sadi Shermatov, AMMC Deputy Chairman for Personnel and Social Affairs, noted that the company consistently supports such noble initiatives.

As part of the campaign, an exhibition and charity fair featuring artworks and drawings created by the young patients were held.

Artworks created by 25 children were sold to buyers through an auction.

Notably, AMMC purchased a symbolic painting created by the children for a record amount of 50,000,000 UZS.

Employees of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex also took an active part in the auction.

- The event organized today with the support of AMMC left a deep impression on the children. I hope our cooperation will continue. Such events increase the children’s interest in life and strengthen their hope for recovery. Through our project, we currently support nearly 500 young patients across the country.
I would like to express my gratitude to our President and the AMMC leadership for supporting such noble causes - said Marjona Nurmuhamedova, Head of the “You Are Strong” Non-Governmental Organization.

During the event, 25 children also received memorable gifts from AMMC.

Additionally, the children were given the opportunity to visit and observe the operations at the “Kalmakyr” mine—one of the largest mines in the world.
