Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex is not only a pillar of the country's economy but also a major center for the integration of science and production. Currently, the Complex maintains strong partnerships with a number of domestic and international higher education institutions.

With the introduction of modern technologies and increased production efficiency, the consistent development of this area, the expansion of research and development activities, and the improvement of the system for training qualified personnel are of strategic importance. In this regard, AMMC has signed a cooperation agreement with another higher education institution.

The memorandum of cooperation was signed between AMMC and the Tashkent branch of St.Petersburg State University at the Complex engineering school.

The signing ceremony was attended by Sadi Shermatov, Deputy Chairman of the Board for Human Resources and Social Affairs of JSC “Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex”; Doniyor Karimov, Head of the Training Center; Makhmudjon Ziyodullaev, Director of the University Branch; and Sergey Nebotov, his deputy. Priority areas for further cooperation were identified during the meeting.

The agreement provides for the exchange of experience in educational and methodological matters, the organization of industrial internships for students, and the preparation of Complex employees for higher education. These activities will contribute to the enhancement of young people's professional competencies and their closer familiarity with real-life production conditions.

For reference: The Tashkent branch of St.Petersburg State University was established in 2021 and trains specialists in philology, regional studies, international economics, and biomedicine.

The signing of the memorandum aims to take cooperation between the education system and industry to a new level and create a sustainable foundation for the training of highly qualified personnel.

Following the meeting, the parties also discussed prospects for joint scientific and applied projects and the further expansion of their partnership.
