Large-scale industrial projects are being implemented at Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex. In particular, within the framework of the investment project for the development of the Yoshlik I deposit, it is planned to launch one of the world's largest open pit mines, commission the 3^rd copper Concentrator plant and build the fourth one.

One of the key areas of development has become the creation of a modern geolaboratory capable of analyzing geological samples according to world standards. The new complex is being built taking into account international experience and with the participation of experts from leading companies such as Bureau Veritas, ALS and SGS. The laboratory will be fully commissioned in the near future.

The laboratory will be equipped with highly efficient sample preparation equipment and high-precision analytical equipment that ensures maximum reliability of the results.

In order to digitalize processes in the field of geology and sample analysis, the GEOLIMS software system was developed in cooperation with specialists from the production automation department. Today, geologists can already receive laboratory test results online. In the future, it is planned to expand the functionality of the system by introducing new modules.

Particular attention is paid to the implementation of modern management methods. The laboratory will have a clearly structured work logistics: from sample acceptance, crushing and preparation to analysis – everything is arranged in a strict technological sequence.

The new laboratory will become a subdivision of the central analytical laboratory, combining the functions of analysis and sample preparation. The laboratory's capacity will be up to 220 thousand samples per year.

In addition, the launch of the laboratory will create the opportunity to annually process up to 160 million tons of ore from the Kalmakyr and Yoshlik I mines, and will also create new jobs.

The project stands out as one of the most modern and large-scale in the republic.
