+998 71 619 23 33At the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex, work continues consistently to digitalize production processes and implement modern geodetic technologies.
As part of this effort, specialists from the Central Office surveying department recently conducted a practical demonstration and testing of modern 3D-laser scanning technology to evaluate its capabilities in real-world production conditions.
During testing, the “FJD Trion S2” 3D lidar scanner was used to scan a 200-meter-long underground mine with complex terrain in just 15 minutes. Based on the data obtained, specialists created a high-precision digital 3D model of the mine site and calculated the volume of extracted rock mass.
Furthermore, the tests clearly demonstrated the feasibility of rapid digitalization of underground facilities, performance of volumetric calculations, and conduct of mine surveying measurements using modern technologies. Practical tests were attended by specialists from the Central Office surveying department, the surveying department of the Kauldy mine administration, and technical specialists from the “INSTRUMART” company.
The testing results confirmed that the equipment fully complies with the technical requirements established by mine surveyors. Experience has shown that the use of this technology allows to increase efficiency in production processes, to perform geodetic and mine surveying measurements with high accuracy and in safe conditions, and to advance the digital transformation of mining production.
