+998 71 619 23 33The Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex has launched a large-scale preventative program, “30 Striking Days”, aimed at increasing of legal literacy and awareness among employees, fostering a healthy spiritual and moral environment, and ensuring the rule of law.
According to a special plan approved by the Chairman of the Board of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex JSC from May 5 to June 9 of current year, all structural divisions of the plant will conduct preventive measures aimed at prevention of religious extremism, fanaticism, cybercrime, and other offenses.
In particular, on May 5-6, similar meetings took place at the copper concentrator, the technical control service, the copper smelter, the Directorate for the Construction of the Metallurgical Complex, the central repair and mechanical plant, and the zinc plant. The event was attended by Doniyor Kayumov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors for Security at Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC), Jamshid Pardaev, a representative of the Almalyk town Committee for Religious Affairs and Advisor to the Khokim of town for Religious Affairs, Davronbek Khamzaev, Head of the Security Department of the Complex, Kamola Umaralieva, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Umida Karshiboeva, Head of the Information Service at the AMMC, as well as employees of the Tashkent Region internal affairs agencies working in the AMMC system.
The events addressed topics such as “Extremism and Terrorism – a Threat to Social Security”, “The Causes of Crime and Ways to Prevent It”, “Religious Extremism and Its Consequences”, “Extremism and Terrorism – a Destructive Force for Society”, “Cybercrime: Modern Threats and Solutions”, “A Crime-Free Society – Our Common Goal”, “Safety Rules in Social Networks”, and “The Fight Against Cybercrime – is a Common Task”.
Responsible experts used specific real-life examples to explain the true nature of religious extremism and radical ideas, as well as their danger to human destinies and the stability of society. Particular attention was paid to issues of maintenance of religious tolerance and interethnic harmony.
Participants were also reminded that peace and stability in our country are the highest value. It was emphasized that today it is especially important to respect the history, traditions, and moral values of each nation, to resist false promises and dubious appeals, and to make a worthy contribution to the reforms being carried out in the country, to work honestly, and to strive to become qualified specialists.
In addition, with the rapid development of technology, particular attention has been paid to the growth of cybercrime and new types of fraud. Experts urged employees to be vigilant: do not disclose bank card details and confidential codes, do not trust fake messages and suspicious links on social media, and be aware of the threat of cyberbullying and the hidden risks of online gaming.
During the meetings, videos were shown based on real stories of people who, having fallen for scams and various tricks, found themselves in difficult life situations.
Workers were also reminded of the need to strictly adhere to the Complex internal rules and exercise caution when using social media.
Law enforcement officials presented information about crimes committed within the Complex structural divisions, emphasizing the inevitability of punishment for any offense.
Such meetings help to increase workers’ vigilance not only in production environment, but also in their family and social life. After all, legal literacy and the culture of behavior of each person in the “virtual space” are the most reliable shield that can protect them from various crimes.
