These were the goals of the latest meeting of the women’s leadership community, held on May 15 at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex.
The event was attended by renowned international experts from finance, politics, and science. Guests included Ekaterina Galitsyna, Director for Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the South Caucasus at KfW IPEX-Bank; Svetlana Khapova, Professor at the University of Amsterdam; Kizilgul Kosimova, Member of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis; Ziyoda Akhmedova, Advisor to the Minister of Mining and Geology; representatives of the Ministry; and female scientists from the AMMC.
The practical part of the meeting began with an important event in the company history: the participants attended the opening ceremony of the new gold recovery plant at the Kauldy mine.
The guests then visited Copper Concentrator No. 3, which was launched in March of this year. Together with Abdulla Khursanov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AMMC), the participants were introduced to the company’s production facilities, digitalized process management system, and modern conditions created for employees.
In her presentation, international expert in organizational behavior and leadership, Professor Svetlana Khapova, discussed cutting-edge models of modern management and effective leadership.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to employee initiative and the creation of an environment in which new ideas can be freely put forward and discussed. It was noted that openness within the team and timely identification of problems are the most important factors in the sustainable development of the enterprise. Participants were also provided with practical recommendations on how to build a trusting atmosphere within a team and support innovation.
The event became not only a platform for the exchange of professional knowledge, but also a space for live communication. During the networking event, the parties discussed the implementation of international experience in local production and agreed to develop ongoing collaboration between female leaders.
The meeting held at AMMC was further confirmation that the industrial sector is successfully implementing modern management approaches focused on human capital development and in line with international standards.
